Andrew Hutchins Hudspeth was born on Oct. 23, 1874 in Wolfe City, Texas. He graduated from Business College in 1890, and then took law courses at Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tennessee. Hudspeth moved to Lincoln County, N.M. in 1895, was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 1897, and practiced law in Carrizozo. In 1902, he moved to White Oaks, N.M.
